Ragdoll

The Ragdoll gets its name because their bodies relax when they are picked up and are somewhat limp, which is likened to a ragdoll toy.

Ragdolls are noticeably docile and gentle, and tend to have a high level of trust in humans, making it the ideal choice for families with small children. In a threatening situation, their natural instinct will tell them to run away, but they rarely will use their claws for defense. They are very easy-going and laid back, and are extremely friendly. In fact, it would be wise that Ragdolls be kept indoors rather than allowed to roam free, as they may just let anyone who shows them kindness walk off with them. Due to their adaptable nature, however, this is generally not a problem, as they are quite content to remain indoors.

Ragdolls have semi-long fur, and is relatively low maintenance. Not having a tendency to get matted, a good brushing once in a while is all that is needed.
